BOSS BOUNCY gets featured with DRAKE

This week has been a blessing for Kumasi artists. From rappers Fyve and Asumadu getting brand ambassador deals and YOLO MUSIQ rapper Boss Bouncy also known as "The African Trap Lord" getting a spot on America's largest mixtape "COAST TO COAST MIXTAPES". This particular mixtape features DRAKE and other Anerican artists. Boss Bouncy might get lucky and get featured on tours in the states. Bouncy currently released a song called "Taste" featuring Kumawood actor "KWAKU MANU". This guy is one of the massive talents in Oseikrom. We say more grease to his elbows. Go hard man

Bouncy got the number 11 spot

rapper FYVE becomes an ambassador

As we all know the YB Click rapper "FYVE" also known as the King of Unwritten Freestyles got himself a brand ambassador deal with the famous Kumasi fashion mogul U&A. Fyve not only known by his rap prowess is also always swagged up from head to toe in designers all the time. Well Fyve is not the only signed brand ambassador by U&A but also one of fast rising rappers Asumadu of Asuma10 Records  This is a nice move for these rappers and for the city also. More grease to U&A Klodin's elbows and rappers FYVE and ASUMADU as well. Go higher

PRINX PAPPI & DENSWAG of TUBHANI BEATZ at war

Two of the most famous beat makers out of Kumasi now PRINX PAPPI & TUBHANI BEATZ DENSWAG are in some sort of rivalry. I have personally been following these two producers keenly for a while now. I have reallised that the two throw subs at each other on the low on facebook. I just wasn't sure until finally I made a conclusion today.

Well as to what is the source of this bitter rivalry I personally can not tell. How I made my conclusion that the two are beefing is very simple. Yesterday one of Kumasi's young talent SLIM KHALA dropped a track titled "mmmm" produced by DENSWAG as everyone calls him. In the track SLIM KHALA playfully makes funny comments about some of his friends and the known names in the Kumasi music scene, where he made a comment about PRINX PAPPI in the track. Pappi seems not to be comfortable with comment passed about him. He posted a pic today on instagram which seem to be a sub to both SLIM KHALA and the producer of the track DENSWAG. Followed by another post by one of Pappi's affiliates. Check it out below.

OKYEAME KWAME is selfish!!!

Every Kumasi upcoming rapper or singer will totally agree to this. OKYEAME KWAME also known as "Rap Dacta" has been the only hope for the Garden City ever since the fall off of the LORD KENYAs and the XDOEs etc. Well i should just go straight to the point. As we all know Kumasi was once the heart and pivot of the Ghanaian music, many great hip hop and hip life artists all came out of this city. Kumasi ruled the music scene until the city finally lost its crown. Ever since these great artists from Kumasi faded, the only hope young guys doing music in the city had was and still is our own senior brother Okyeame Kwame.

Okyeame Kwame has been in the limelight for a while now and i still can't seem to figure out any substantial aid he has given out to upcoming guys from the city (they say its always great to give back to the city that raised you right?). I mean all the guys from the city look up to him and frankly speaking most of the guys in Kumasi currently are on fire and working very hard to make it with music. Okyeame Kwame has totally failed to give out hand or even support the city in any way (I mean you are the only artist genuinely from the city who has stayed in the game and gone this far and has actually made something out of music, why don't we see you giving back? huh?)

All we hear him talk is how much he loves his city but no notable action by him to show. The only thing i can recall is the 'Kumasi Boyz' track he did with FLOWKING STONE, CABUM and STRONGMAN but till date i still ask my friends if there is ever going to be even a video to that track. Okyeame Kwame is the main reason why a lot of dope guys from Kumasi are currently struggling. We are not telling you to give them all the money in the world or anything, but the least you could do is even share your experience with these guys.

Bra O.K i want to personally ask you, why are you so selfish? Please i am begging you in the name of God please and please again isn't there anything you can do for Kumasi's upcoming talents?. I bet you some of the guys are really working hard. I have personally taken my time to listen to a lot of these young guys and they are full of talents but struggling to make it. Please you have been there already help these guys ok? I am personally pleading with you. Help these guys to also at least make a living out of their talents don't chop it all alone. And remember we need the city back on top!

AAAH KUMASI BOYS ABR3.

FLOWKING STONE'S biggest mistakes

We all know this guy FLOWKING STONE 'got it' and is one brilliant rapper in the rap game. As to why he is still slept on and isn't ruling the rap scene like before is one big question that puzzles all of us, some of us admit to the fact that it must be his blood brother and rap mate KUNTA KINTE's stroke. Well it may be it but I still find reasons why our brother is still not in the bigger picture where he is supposed to be and isn't really the ish like before.

The first reason is the kind of features FLOWKING STONE picks on his tracks. I mean i am not saying that the artists he feature on his songs are not great or wack but personally i feel Flowking should feature some of the big names in the game more often. For example his song 'soldier' was one great joint that could have done wonders if he had a big name like "STONE BOY" on that track. "RAS KUUKU" did his thing any way but these guys are already in the game and could have given his song a greater exposure than the track received originally. I am beginning to think FLOWKING STONE can't afford to feature these big names on his songs (well that will make me sound very stupid) or he probably has problems with some of these big names of which can't be proven or it could possibly be some reason else in the background of which we can't tell for sure.

The second reason is his songs keep going waste. A lot of songs Flowking Stone released quite recently were very dope songs and had massive hit potential. Even though 'go low' is still a hit. 'Yempe Dede' is one track that should have been the talk of town for years, that track is still really dope YAA PONO killed the hook (i am not exaggerating, i am listening to it as i write this). There are several songs that were hits though not to the extent they should have gone. Well i can't tell if DJs are not been so friendly or some sort of politics going on in the background of which we can't tell as well. It just hurts me some great songs by this guy keep going waste. Does he have a promotion plan for his songs at all? I wonder.

The third is FLOWKING STONE does not make videos a lot. Wait let me explain better, what i am trying to say is, he doesn't make the videos for the right songs. For example is there a video for "Fire Bon Dem Remix" yet? Even if there is, is it out yet? or he is probably holding on to it for reasons probably known to him. I will just add the fourth reason right here. He doesn't seem to see the perfect moment to drop his songs. He should study the game critically and be able to point out just the correct moment to drop a video or a song. His IGWE song shouldn't have be dropped instead it should have been one crazy punchline filled track looking at the scene in rap music currently (who manages this guy? the person is poor at it)

I think these are the things that is working against this great talent. Flowking Stone is a great talent and should be one of the very big names out there even on the international scene. He should go farther than he is. My personal advice (well i am not sure if he is reading this, he probably won't) should be, He should feature big names in the game more often and shoot videos for it, He should be able to spot the right moments to drop his songs. Strategise king strategise you deserve better man.

is Sark clueless or just rhyming?

If there is one thing i admire about this guy, then it is how smart he is. Sarkodie actually knows and understand the music game. This guy is actually the father and king of Ghana's rap game not necessarily because he has an extra-ordinary rap prowess or is even doper than any of our rappers in the country. He is the king of rap because he knows how to create the environment to be all about him and have people to keep talking about any of his next releases and have it trending for weeks.

The talk of town currently is his just released song 'bossy' featuring Jay So. Even though people seem to have a problem with a line in his lyrics where he goes like "Rap isn't all about punchlines and even too much of it makes a rapper sound immature and even goes on to say rap is rather about emotions". Could Sarkodie be right? Or is he clueless about rap itself? Well lets see. Well i totally agree with Sark on the part where he says rap is about emotions and also where he says rap isn't all about punchlines. The only part where i disagreed with him is where he thinks too much punchlines makes a rapper immature. When i heard that line i had to pause and i was like "Really Sark?" I mean how the fuck can he say that? Im like bruh you are supposed to be the rap king in Ghana how the fuck on earth can you say too much punchlines make a rapper immature. I then paused again and i think i know why he said that.

Sark is one rapper who always wants to rhyme and make sense. He always wants his verses to be in a particular rhyme scheme all the time. This means that most of the things he says are not things he actually mean. He is always trying to impress since there is so much pressure on him and every rap fan in the country is looking up to him ofcourse some waiting for him to flop and some hoping he does something extra O'. He just used 'immature' so it will rhyme with the last word in the next line 'jaws'. So personally i don't think he meant what he said that punchlines make a rapper sound immature. Well if he meant it then he doesn't deserve that king of rap title and that he doesn't actually understand rap like he has made us to believe. Punchline is one important tool in rap which portrays how smart and intelligent a rapper is. So i don't see how a rapper who has his verse full of punchline be immature, it takes the matured mind to come up with clever lines. Even talking of clever line, what shows a rapper is clever? It includes his ability to employ literary devices in his verses. There is no way a rapper with an immatured mind come up with punchlines which conveys similes, metaphors, aliterations and so on. These are some of the reasons why i admire Flowking Stone, M.anifest, C-Real, Strongman, TeePhlow, E.L, Okyeame Kwame and Kojo-Cue so much.

If indeed Sark thinks too much punchlines makes a rapper sound immature then i am highly disappointed in him and this statement can even revoke his "dope rapper pass". He should retract that statement right away and tell us he was just rhyming like he always do.

Rapper KOFI SUPREME gets his ass "beaten" by some SM and AMG Business fans

Lately it seems ace rapper Kofi Supreme isn't writing anymore songs but is rather looking for cheap media attention. Well Shatta Movement fans took him to school and gave him a taste of pure red pepper as he tries to disrespect their boss Shatta Wale for cheap fame.

Kofi Supreme is no doubt one of the dopest rappers from the Garden City, but it seems lately Kofi has taken to his facebook page to make unnecessary rants and attacks on Shatta Wale and AMG boss Criss Waddle probably as strategy to grasp some attention.

Even though Kofi's several videos on facebook dissing both Shatta Wale and Criss Waddle has failed to go viral or even catch the attention of the two bosses (he is probably ignored), AMG Business and SM fans haven't taken it easy on him at all. His facebook posts are full of insults from fans from both camps

Below are some of the comments....

STRONGMAN kills TEEPHLOW on "panda" beat?

STRONGMAN

TEEPHLOW
Ghanaian hip hop yesterday got more exciting and had fans of both Strongman Burner and TeePhlow in a tweeting rant on social media.

This hullabaloo between fans from both camps began right after Strongman Burner dropped his version of the "panda freestyle" following TeePhlow's already released version.
The panda song as we all know is originally for an American artist "Desiigner" which has had several artists from all over the world jumping on it for a refix.

TeePhlow, one of Ghana's youngest and talented rappers had done his version and was receiving all the praises from hip hop fans.

A majority of hip hop fans had already classified Teephlow's version as the dopest so far in GH. Unfortunately,
TeePhlow's reign as "king" on the panda instrumental came to an abrupt end when Strongman droped his version yesterday afternoon.

Majority of fans regarded Strongman Burner's lyrics in the song as full of bars and a total diss to his rival TeePhlow.
The rivalry between the two actually began after a live battle on the Best Thing In GH Hip Hop on GH One TV which saw Strongman as the winner of the battle. Since then there has been a bone of contention between the two.

The freestyles from these guys are tagged as a diss to each other. Well many of the hip hop fans are saying Strongman Burner won this battle too. Check both tracks out and add your voice to the argument.
